National Fried Chicken Day
July 6 was National Fried Chicken Day, but just because it is over doesn’t mean you have to go without. If you missed a delicious bit of battered bird, there is still time. 364 days, in fact. So check out our list of the best fried chicken you can get in Las Vegas.
Yardbird Southern Table & Bar
If you don’t already know, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar is inside The Venetian Resort. Known for its award-winning fried chicken, it is top of our list. The perfect destination to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day, on or off the 6th, you can come here to enjoy some playful takes on old favorites. Try their famed Fried Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles, or their Crispy Chicken Biscuits. This southern-style eatery is a must if you like that golden brown poultry.
Blue Ribbon Las Vegas
With Blue Ribbon in the name, you know it has got to be good. Famed for their finger-lickin’ fried chicken, this award-winner is on the third level of Boulevard Tower. Their crispy chicken has a delicious coating, and some great sauces to delight anyone’s palate. But the chicken is not alone, and comes alongside creamy mashed potatoes, with homestyle gravy and savory collard greens. That’s food for the soul.
Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas
Have you tried Brooklyn Bowl’s Bromberg Brother’s award-winning Blue Ribbon fried chicken? Well, why not? This chicken is served up golden and delicious, with a crisp but flaky coating that just tastes good. You can come for a meal, or just relax with a platter of wings. No hurry. You’ll want to take your time to enjoy all this flavor.
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken
The Cosmopolitan was designed with that urban-chic ambiance that draws the crowds. But their new gourmet food court sells some great chicken that will feed them. Block 16 Urban Food Hall sports a Hattie B’s that offers some genuine Nashville flavor on their menu. It ranges from Southern style to No Heat, and even has a few spicy options for the brave-of-heart. Their Shut the Cluck Up!!! is not to be taken lightly. And these are no small bites of chicken, either. Each tender is a whole breast, meaning you will make a meal of one or two pieces. Have them with a side of pimento mac & cheese, and top it off with their signature banana pudding to make your meal into a feast.
Café Americano
Head on over to Caesars Palace to see how the Romans do fried chicken. Or not. I’m not too sure this is historically accurate. But Café Americano has come out with a splendid take on Chicken & Waffles. Re-imagined, this old favorite is given a unique twist, piling on the flavor. Their signature fried chicken is served with a bacon-stuffed blue corn waffle, and drizzled in an oh-so-sweet sauce made from bourbon honey and imported maple syrup. This is a dish you have to try.
Mott 32
Another great choice you can find at the Venetian Las Vegas, Mott 32 mixes southern-comfort with Chinese cooking. Try them for a hot and crispy mix of Szechuan flavor and American goodness. And the best part is their cocktail menu. Have your fried chicken with some great drinks to elevate your food to the next level.
Sara’s
Well, National Fried Chicken Day is over, and you might have missed out on Michael Symon’s special menu that he offered at his hidden speakeasy. But you can still head on over to the Palms Casino Resort to try their signature chicken any time you want. Sara’s has a very special Truffle Fried Chicken that goes a step beyond the homemade flavor you’re used to getting. This is some gourmet deliciousness, that is great for a night out.
Smoked Burgers & BBQ
Found at the Forum Shops at Caesars, Smoked Burgers & BBQ knows how to do fried chicken. Their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Blueberry Sliders are an epic special that you’ve got to experience. Sweet, savory, with the best breast meat, these are even better than the ribs and burnt-ends on the menu. The fresh blueberry jam, jalapeno, and pepper jack cheese on Hawaiian sweet rolls is a real delicacy that will have you coming back.
Conclusion
We hope you had a great National Fried Chicken Day, but we want you to know that Las Vegas serves up some of the best fried chicken every day. You don’t need an excuse to try these restaurants.
So what are you waiting for? National Fried Chicken Day 2020?
