Peppermill

So, we all know Las Vegas offers some great grub, from a meat overdose at the Rollin’ Smoke BBQ, to the refined Cantonese cooking at Hakkasan. But where do you go when its 3:00 in the morning, you’re coming from the tables flush with winnings, and you want a nostalgic Las Vegas experience?

There is only one option.

The Peppermill is a Vegas institution that has been serving up some favorites for close to 50 years, and doing it in style. The restaurant combines food service with the tradition of a Sin City lounge, offering an around the clock dinning experience that is as much a place at which to meet as it is to eat.

From the Fireside Lounge where you can sip at cocktails, to the oh-so-cool pink and blue booths where the food is served, there is a style that harks back to a time where casinos ruled, the big spenders were treated like kings, and everyone got comps. They even have neon, plastic trees, and a true vaporwave aesthetic which makes for some gorgeous pictures.

“We host special events and groups ranging from conventioneers to celebrities,” said General Manager Peggy Orth. She’s been there since 1974 and is proud of the venue’s “team spirit” and “family” culture. “Planner amenities include 23 individually programmable TVs and a new wireless mic system.”

Of course, don’t take our word for it. Phill & Jess also liked Peppermill:

The Peppermill focuses on super-large portions of delicious food. And they don’t overcharge, either. A group could even satisfy themselves with a few appetizers, but then they couldn’t try some of their locally famous entrees. We recommend the French Toast Ambrosia which will leave you gob-smacked, or the Clubhouse, which doesn’t skimp.

Of course, no meal is complete without drinks. Try the Bloody Mary, or Strawberry Daiquiri. But don’t rush. You’ll want to sit back and savor the flavor, and soak in the mood.

And, since it is open 24 hours, this really is the best place to go when you’re up and everyone else is in bed. Forget Pin-Up Pizza at the Miracle Mile, or the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian. This is where you should go if you want to be treated right. It won’t even break the bank.
