— Staff Writer

Bail for Hasean Quin has been set for $25,000 by the presiding judge this Friday. The 24-year-old man is charged firing a weapon inside the Fashion Mall this Memorial Day.

Though assault charges were dropped, prosecutors are expected to pursue one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.

Lisa Rasmussen, Quinn’s lawyer, declined to comment.

The shooting occurred just after 6 pm Monday at the Strip mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South. No one was injured.

The gunshot triggered a standard response involving heavy police cordons and evacuations of surrounding businesses.

Entrances around the mall were blocked by police for hours. Officers in tactical gear were prepared and waiting in a staging ground if needed, but the situation was soon resolved.
