A new Las Vegas millionaire is made

— Staff Writer

Lady Luck strikes again! Though Garfield hates Mondays, over at Caesars Palace, a guest became the latest instant millionaire. Winning the three card poker progressive jackpot of $1,469,237.15 on $5 bet, this Monday is one of the good ones.

Over the last nine months, there have been a slew of million dollar winners. This one will bring the total to seven table game jackpots of $1 million or more.

These jackpot progressives are currently linked across Caesars properties. 13 casinos participate, with over 275 tables, providing the largest single network in the nation and a rare treat.

The $5 side bet option is a popular one that is now responsible for making many millionaires.

Last June at The Venetian Las Vegas, a player won just over $1 million with a $5 side bet.

And even smaller bets are winning big. A $1 bet turned in to $115,000 at the Eastside Cannery hotel-casino on St. Patrick’s Day. We might not beat the house, but some of us are coming away a little richer.
