Self-driving vehicles have arrived and are operating in Las Vegas. The Aptiv 30 BMW 5 Series running Lyft’s driverless technology have become a staple of Las Vegas, completing over 50,000 unique rides.

The vehicle uses Lyft’s program with various sensors, cameras and computers, and has successfully reached its first, full year of service.

Aptiv said the autonomous vehicles serve customers at over 2,100 locations in the Las Vegas Valley, including hotels, entertainment venues, restaurants, and popular destinations throughout the Las Vegas Strip and downtown area, including City Hall and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

But are the vehicles safe? See for yourself. Passengers have given the service a 4.97 rating, with 92 percent happy with their safety.
