The Stratosphere rebranded

Now called the Strat, it is time to take a look at changes with the former Stratosphere hotel-casino in Las Vegas.

An iconic property on Las Vegas Boulevard, the Stratosphere has suffered on the North Strip. Golden Entertainment has looked to make updates and improve marketing, hoping they can get some buzz with a new name.

Steve Arcana, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Golden Entertainment said, “The Stratosphere is a Las Vegas icon, so in acquiring the property we chose to preserve that quality while also reimagining the resort through a comprehensive remodel that spans from the tower to the main casino floor. We have developed a new brand that speaks to the fun and excitement of this grand transformation, and we are thrilled to announce The STRAT.”

The STRAT has announced SkyPod as part of their redevelopment, a boutique hotel atop their spire. Including an observation platform, bar and club, and exciting attractions, it hopes to provide a special venue for all of Las Vegas.

With more in store for 2019, the Strat hopes to excite patrons, but is playing things close to the vest.
