• Bail set for Hasean Quinn in Las Vegas strip mall shooting

    Bail for Hasean Quin has been set for $25,000 by the presiding judge this Friday. The 24-year-old man is charged firing a weapon inside the Fashion Mall this Memorial Day. Though assault charges were dropped, prosecutors are expected to pursue one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure. Lisa Rasmussen, Quinn’s lawyer, declined to comment. Such items as the pop superstar’s meat dress and elaborate costumes were featured in the museum exhibits. Adjacent to the performer’s Strip home, the Haus has opened just this Thursday at the Park Theater in Park MGM.     Las Vegas local resident Christiene H. had a holiday weekend to remember. Her winning roll on the 25-cent Wheel of Fortune Triple Stars machine at Sam’s Town, 5111 Boulder Highway, won $221,463.46. It sure brought a smile to her face. According to an International Game Technology spokeswoman, the winning roll came in at 1:10 pm Saturday.   • Lyft wins with Las Vegas autonomous taxi

    Self-driving vehicles have arrived and are operating in Las Vegas. The Aptiv 30 BMW 5 Series running Lyft’s driverless technology have become a staple of Las Vegas, completing over 50,000 unique rides. The vehicle uses Lyft’s program with various sensors, cameras and computers, and has successfully reached its first, full year of service. Aptiv said the autonomous vehicles serve customers at over 2,100 locations in the Las Vegas Valley, including hotels, entertainment venues, restaurants, and popular destinations throughout the Las Vegas Strip and downtown area, including City Hall and the Las Vegas Convention Center.     The Intrigue Nightclub, part of the Wynn Nightlife experience, will be terminating operations Saturday. The 14,000-square-foot venue will be available as private event space accommodating up to 750 people. The closure is part of a number of recent changes slated for the property. It is not known if other entertainment venues at the Wynn will be affected.
